A volunteer radio community for Nepal
The Nepal Amateur Radio Club brings together operators, listeners, and engineers who believe radio skills make communities stronger.
Our mission
Connect. Learn. Serve.
Amateur radio lets individuals talk across valleys, borders, and continents with equipment they understand and can repair themselves. In a mountainous country like Nepal, that independence is also a lifeline.
NARC exists to grow that capability: we help newcomers get licensed, give members a place to share projects and field reports, and organise drills so operators are ready when disasters strike.
What we value
Principles that guide the club
Learning first
We share knowledge freely and help every member grow, from first contact to advanced station design.
Service to community
Radio is a public trust. We train so we can support communities when conventional networks fail.
Experimentation
Antennas, SDR, satellites, and digital modes — we build, test, and document what we learn.
Responsible operation
We follow licensing rules, band plans, and good operating practice, and we mentor others to do the same.
